This Snap Card Rules.

Get it? It's a crown...it rules...ok, yeah, ok. Anyhow, I have a bit of a compulsion to collect vintage snap cards. Nobody uses snaps anymore, so when I show these to students...they ask me "what are those?" and it slays me. I might post more of these cards here. This one is one of the best IMHO because the snaps are used to replace the glittering gems you would normally see on a crown. So. Great.

Spine-tingling.

Normally, I don't go for this kind of uncial-esque type. But on a spine for a book about pottery and porcelain, of a certain period --- this works. And the Rs in the title are wicked.

Warhol's Handwriting

Seen at the Portland Art Museum at the Warhol Exhibit in October. His writing is so quirky beautiful it makes me want to clean my old fountain pens and put them back to work.

The Beauty of Letterpress

Happy to find out that three of my posters were chosen by Robynne Raye (Modern Dog, Seattle) for the Beauty of Letterpress, Issue Seven. She highlighted the Bicycle Thieves poster and said, "Conceptually this is brilliant - one of my favorite pieces from the entire group, and a cool way to use process."  #blushing!
